The story of Motherhood.

I recently heard the common phrase, “Everyone has a story” which is true, but let’s complete the sentence… “A story worth sharing”.

It’s in sharing that we find connection, empathy and growth. Naturally, I thought, “What story do I have to tell?” Sure, I could talk about business, or my nontraditional career path, my children, my relationship with Jesus, my relationship with my spouse… the list can continue. However, woven in to each of these stories, is my story of motherhood. It’s intertwined with the divine, my calling in my family, affected my career path and shaped my hopes and dreams.

It’s full of laughter, tears, frustration and pure joy, and I am excited and a little bit nervous to share it.

So welcome to my story. Each week I aim to share posts and a podcast episode around a specific subject beginning this February.

A field trip to Seattle with Jack - Pikes Place.

And if you’re headed to Pikes Place in Seattle, here are 5 places to pass through with kids:

  1. Rachel the Piggy Bank:

    • Located near the entrance of Pike Place Market, Rachel the Piggy Bank is a famous bronze piggy bank that serves as a popular photo spot. Kids will enjoy interacting with this iconic sculpture and dropping coins into the piggy bank.

  2. Pike Place Market Magic Shop:

    • The Pike Place Market Magic Shop is a delightful destination for families. Kids can experience magic tricks, pick up magic supplies, and enjoy live performances. It's a fun and entertaining stop that will captivate the imaginations of young visitors.

  3. Local Food Stalls and Shops:

    • Explore the diverse food stalls and shops within Pike Place Market. Kids can try fresh fruits, artisanal chocolates, and other local treats. Don't miss the world-famous Pike Place Fish Market, known for its entertaining fish-throwing. They are full of energy. Also, Cinnamon works is a great bakery to try out! I’m a big fan

  4. Gum Wall:

    • While the Gum Wall might be more appealing to older kids and teenagers, it's a unique and quirky attraction near Pike Place Market. This colorful and slightly unconventional wall covered in chewing gum is completely disgusting and fun at the same time.

  5. MarketFront Playground:

    • The MarketFront Playground is a great place for younger kids to burn off some energy. Located on the newly expanded MarketFront area, this playground has a variety of play structures.
