tHE MINI NOVEL OF MARIFLY. 

Hello there, I'm Vanessa, (or V). I began Marifly in 2014 after my husband accepted a job in our hometown of Wenatchee, Washington. En route, I realized my advertising skills wouldn't be utilized in the way I had imagined, so my husband suggested I start my own gig.

Marifly started, with the emphasis to expand my creative gifts and make pillows…. lots of pillows.  

A year into Marifly, we welcomed Baby Jack into our world, and our lives changed in the best way possible.. I slowed down and focused on the art of motherhood.  Around Jack's six-month mark, I decided to add a new dimension to Marifly, and introduced a baby and children's line called Noni & V.

My mother, Noni (her name to her grandchildren), helped me get it started and within no time Marifly had a new piece of life to it.. ((Side note about Noni: she is one of my greatest fans and sewing partners. She first offered to sew zippers into my pillows when I launched Marifly in 2014 and has always been the best teacher and confidant in life and in the journey of Marifly.))

Our family continues to grow. Cal, our youngest, joined our family in December of 2017, we expanded once again to a new sphere of markett/event experiences to showcase other makers and small business owners, and we are adding a baby girl to the family later this year. Life is full and busy, and all of these experiences within our family and in our business are contributing factors to Marifly’s growth and success.

Creativity and discovering our own personal talents remains the heart of Marifly. Our fabric collection continues to expand, along with new skillsets and experiences. It is a beautiful journey, one I’m so grateful for, and grateful that you have joined me along some part of the way. .
