They call me Mom.

Our stories in motherhood are endless. There’s chaos and vulnerability, failure and redemption, love, laughter and pure joy in raising humans.

My hope in all of this, is that you’ll feel inspired, encouraged and perhaps gain greater clarity in your journey of motherhood.

THEY CALL ME MOM

In therapy 5 years ago, my child’s speech therapist told me I needed to advocate for my son, and then share the message with other parents, because these families are sometimes left without the energy to share their voices. It’s taken me a few years to understand that invitation, and I’m excited to answer the call now.

Some things you aren’t ready for… I felt that.

I remember laying on the couch with Jack, singing the ABC’s and I could hear the soft articulation of each letter. He had just turned one and I didn’t think much about his growth in speech, until his 2 year old check up when my world turned upside down and we entered a new phase of parenting, learning and growing. His speech was significantly delayed and later learned about a sensory component that was part of his delay. Listen along as I share my story on my podcast “They Call Me Mom” and support families with children who are atypical or share in extra differences in behavior, body and mind.

But what do you do for work?

There’s no perfect way to mother. There’s no one method fits all. It doesn’t work that way. Do you stay at home with your kids, run a side hustle, work full-time??? Regardless of how you spend your hours with or without your children, they will call you MOM - the greatest influencer in your home, working diligently to help your kids thrive and flourish. You have superhero powers. Your intuition to support and guide your children runs deep. It is your greatest work.

Ask an expert

I’m no expert in everything relating to motherhood. However, I’ve met and worked with incredible “experts” who will share their thoughts and suggestions to help mothers in their personal development, their pursuit to mother their children and as essential role models and influences in their community.

I’m especially excited to have conversations about children and their activities, building strong friendships, parenting styles and greater awareness and understanding for children with sensory needs, behavioral issues, speech delays, developmental delays, and emotional struggles.

Beyond the
Science

Sometimes motherhood feels hard.

Sometimes motherhood feels lonely.

Sometimes motherhood feels exhausting.

Raising your children the best way you know how is every good mother’s goal. And it takes a lot of work and stretches us physically and emotionally, and because of the intensity of the calling, I hope you feel an added boost of energy and inspiration in your journey of motherhood.
